Original Toronto Star caption: The Finch Ave. station is the end of the $140 million extension of the Yonge St. subway; which will be officially open tomorrow and being accepting passengers Saturday. A unique feature is the big kiss 'n ride carousel which permits cars picking up or dropping off passengers to orbit the outside circle until a space is available. Construction is booming around the subway extension and land values have soared as much as 400 per cent. Building permits in North York totalled $57 million in January and February; compared with $21 million last year.
