Original Toronto Star caption: Going ape for visitors. Giving the folks a show; Mias; a 350-pound orang-outang at Metro zoo; hangs on to some bars and appears to be doing a little jib. The new zoo has four orang-outangs in its Indo-Malaysia pavilion and each day two of them have to take their turn at being on display for the benefit of visitors. Mias; a male; is about 15 years old. He's powerful and looks fierce; but orang-outangs really are peaceful apes.
