Original Toronto Star caption: Valleyhalla, a 1936 mansion owned by Metro overlooking the Rouge Valley of Scarborough, has been proposed again as an official residence for Metro chairmen. It was valued at $400,000 when it was first suggested as an official home, in 1962. Etobicoke Controller Bruce Sinclair, proposing that Valleyhalla or the James House in James Gardens be used, has described them as gardens of Eden. Valley Halla, located on Meadowvale Road, east side, between Finch Avenue and Sheppard Avenue East. (43.824118, -79.175218)
