Original Toronto Star caption: Come here; kid. The latest arrival at the Metro Toronto Zoo looks as if she's sporting a pair of striped pyjamas; but otherwise she doesn't look much like a zebra. She's a Malayan tapir; the first to be born in captivity in Canada; and her mother; who seems to lack her daughter's stripes; is nosing in to keep a close eye on her. A tapir is a Southern Asian animal with a heavy body; short legs - and that nose.
