Original Toronto Star caption: The wine-and-roses bliss of the village of Rudesheim on the banks of the Rhine is shaken by a fleet of tanks as the West German Army goes on manoeuvres. Ordinarily the loudest noise in town is the drinking songs of tourists blasting forth from the various wine taverns which are packed cheek to jowl through Rudesheim's narrow streets. This is one of the favorite stops with Rhine cruisers. Others are Cologne; with its great cathedral; and 'Dusseldorf.
