Original Toronto Star caption: The East Coast Mountains of this continent haven't the fame of the Rockies; Selkirks and Cascades; but; none the less; they are impressive elevations; as this picture of Mt. Monroe; one of Mt. Washington's neighbors; sufficiently proves. It was taken from that peak of the winds. The season might even be summer; for snow has fallen there every month of the year. That hospice in the hollow is called The Lake of the Clouds Hut; and is a refuge much appreciated by skiers; even in May.
