Original Toronto Star caption: Bester was the best: Maple Leaf goalie Allan Bester took over in a pressure situation last night at the Gardens. The Detroit Red Wings held a 3-0 lead in the first period when coach John Brophy replaced starter Ken Wregget with Bester and another goal would have just about spelled finish to the Toronto club's season. But Bester was spectacular as the Leafs rallied for a 5-3 victory.
