Original Toronto Star caption: Winning form: Gaetan Boucher won Canada's first gold medal of the '84 Winter Games yesterday in the 1,000-metre speedskating event. It was Canada's first Olympic gold since Kathy Kreiner's first-place finish in the giant slalom in the '76 Games. Boucher now has two medals, having won a bronze in the 500 metres, and hopes for a third in the 1,500 metres.
