Original Toronto Star caption: E.G. (Ted) Burton, president of Simpsons Ltd. looks over artist's conception of company's refurbished main downtown store. The 80-year-old store, designated a historical site by the City of Toronto last year, will be restored to look exactly the way it was when Robert Simpson opened it in 1896. Burton said company will spend $2 million on restoring the building's exterior, with another $4 million to be spent on interior renovations.
