Original Toronto Star caption: King of the rink: When King Clancy heard he had been dealt by Ottawa Senators to the Leafs in the 1929-30 season, he was a bit put out but said: What the devil! I'll go to Toronto for a few seasons; it might be fun. Fun it was for Clancy, plus the thousands he touched as a player, coach, referee, father confessor, adviser to general managers and presidents, tall tale spinner, character. You could throw in a few more portfolios. Clancy would fit all of them.
