Original Toronto Star caption: Strong competition for imports is the reason behind the design of the Chevrolet Chevette - here being shown by General Motors of Canada president David Collier - and its sister mini-car, the Pontiac Acadian. The two cars are General Motors' first sub-compacts made in North America.
