Original Toronto Star caption: Slippery Patch: Betsy Clifford, the Ottawa skier who is making a comeback this year after breaking both heels in a race accident, hits a patch of ice eight gates from the finish of the ladies' slalom at the Can-Am Challenge Trophy series in Collingwood Saturday and goes sprawling. She wasn't alone as only 14 of 36 starters finished, many taking a tumble at same spot. Kandi McCoy of California was winner.
