Mayor David Crombie, elected a month ago to govern Toronto for the next two years, gets settled in the office in City Hall he'll occupy for that time. Yesterday the new mayor worked on his inaugural speech to be delivered today at the first meeting of the new City Council elected with him. In preparation for the meeting a dozen of the 22 alderman held an informal session yesterday, the fourth such meeting since the election at which political strategy on the new council was discussed. Crombie has said he will not attend meetings unless asked for his views.
