Original Toronto Star caption: Mayor David Crombie made a spectacle of himself yesterday. To the polite titters of aldermen and officials at a City Council meeting, he drew out and donned the first pair of glasses he's ever owned. He said later he needs the glasses for reading. In the past year he has been unable to read comfortably for long periods without glasses.
