Original Toronto Star caption: Vice-regal doll: Mom Christine Eberhardt and baby Lindsay play with a doll that Lieutenant-Governor John Black Aird gave the ailing girl during a private visit to their home on Danforth Ave. Aird, who made a public appeal for a liver that could save Lindsay's life, said he wanted to give them what reassurance he could. Lindsay's mother said she loved the doll.
