Original Toronto Star caption: Many tributes were paid to Col. Eaton and Mr. Vaughan. Mr. Vaughan is shown (right) receiving the presentation; together with a testimonial signed by more than 1;000 executives; from J. S. McCaughey of the Eaton Knitting Company; Hamilton. The ambulances were presented at the personal request of the recipients; who presented them to the Red Cross. In response to the testimonial Mr. Vaughan remarked that the company had grown from 28 to 210 units since Col. Eaton took office as president in 1922. Employees had increased by 13;000.
