Original Toronto Star caption: Many of Metro's 21 MPs are willing to accept a freeze on their $64;900-a-year pay - as Parkdale-High Park Liberal Jesse Flis (right) says to set an example of economic restraint; a Star survey shows. Others; however; would prefer an immediate pay cut. At least one; Ken Robinson (L - Etobicoke-Lakeshore) says he'd oppose a wage freeze unless the wages of all Canadians are frozen. The Liberal cabinet is believed to be considering a freeze; or even rolling back MPs' salaries in Finance Minister Allan MacEachen's coming economic statement.
