Original Toronto Star caption: Testifying at inquest into the death of Katherine Globe; Mrs. Elizabeth McClintock told presiding Coroner Dr. H.B. Cotnam that she had been warned by Canon G. Moore W. Smith; rector of St. Matthias' Church; that she was possessed by devils; just before she underwent a cancer operation. The faith-healing priest denied her testimony; or the existence of a cult within St. Matthias' Church. Katherine Globe; 18; ward of the rector; died last June of a brain abscess.
