Original Toronto Star caption: In handcuffs; Peter Demeter is led into London courthouse during his trial. The jury did not know his $75;000 bail had been revoked four weeks ago and that he had been in custody since then. He was sentenced yesterday to life impriosnment for bludgeon-slaying of his 33-year-old wife at their Mississauga home in 1973.
