Original Toronto Star caption: Tall Prince Philip leans over to peer into a teepee in an Indian village at Calgary; which he and the Queen visited before she opened the Calgary Stampede. They also toured the Stampede's Flare Square exhibit area; where they saw everything from a mock-up of a gold prospector's camp to an exhibition of police-dog handling by the RCMP. After the Stampede; the royal couple returned to London.
