Original Toronto Star caption: estern Goal. Driving to Field; across the border in British Columbia; they entrained once more for Vancouver; where they found a melting pot of nationalities; yet all of them eager; loyal subjects. None were more so than these tiny Japanese youngsters; Right; who were arrayed in their prettiest summer costumes. Stamping their sandalled feet impatiently; clutching tightly their Union Jacks and pennants of welcome; they were waiting long in advance to show their regard and affection for the King and Queen in the one brief moement they would have to salute them as they drove along the 51-mile route.
