Original Toronto Star caption: Starting their U.S. Visit; Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip view cracked Liberty Bell in Philadelphia yesterday. The Queen formally presented American people with a new bicentennial bell to replace the Liberty Bell. In presenting the new British-cast bell; hung in a new tower; she said it was inscribed Let Freedom Ring. With that; she and Prince pressed a button and set the five-ton bell-the biggest cast in the Whitechapel foundry since Big Ben in 1853-booming.
