Lot 11, Con. 3. East. York Mills Rd. - 866. David Duncan home "Moatfield," built in 1865 on York Mills Road (West of Don Mills Road). David Duncan was a prominent North York dairy farmer and a breeder of Jersey cattle. Moatfield was inherited by David's son Gordon Duncan, and sold in 1971 after his death. It was relocated in 1986 to 125 Moatfield Drive, where it was restored and turned into a restaurant. As of 2015 it is still open as The David Duncan House Fine Dining. It is a designated heritage building, and is one of the last remaining examples of the ?gingerbread? style of gothic architecture in Ontario.
