Haas, a 21-year-old rookie, went 8 1-3 innings to record his first win in major leagues as Brewers edged Jays, 3-1. Haas retired first 11 batters he faced until Alvis Woods broke his streak with a single in fourth inning. He held Jays to four hits and one run, Otto Velez's seventh homer.
