Original Toronto Star caption: Tradition lives on with Japanese master: Master of Japanese brush writing, Kanpo Harada, 64, yesterday gave a demonstration of his art to guests at the Prince Hotel. Kanpo Harada, whose works are considered priceless, was one of five of the most revered traditional performing artists in Japan who paid a short visit to the city arranged by the Association of Japanese Cultural Promotion. Harada had distinction in 1966 of being invited to mainland China, where his art originated over 4,000 years ago.
