Original Toronto Star caption: I will see you again in Spence Bay or in Heaven, 14-year-old David Kootook wrote to his parents in Eskimo a few days after the light plane taking him to Yellowknife crashed. The envelope (top) was addressed in English; the letter (left) was translated by Dorothy Brewster (right) an Eskimo from Spence Bay who knows the family. The letter was read to a coroner's jury investigating the three deaths that resulted from the crash in wilderness.
