First and only edition of this obscure translation of 16 stories if one can trust the precise dating given by Bredsdorff in ''Hans Christian Andersen 1805--2nd April--1955 : catalogue of a jubilee exhibition held at the National Book League'', then this book contains the earliest English language printing of ''The Poor Match Girl'' -- predating by one month the Charles Boner version published in The Dream of Little Tuk and other Tales.
