Original Toronto Star caption: German officers who are prisoners of war in Canada will be housed in the Bowmanville boys' school, which has been turned over to the dominion government for that purpose, Premier Hepburn and Hon. Harry Nixon announced today. The Swiss minister to Canada, who is acting as intermediary between Canada and Germany in the matter, has given his word that he thinks this will end discrimination being shown in Germany towards Canadian officer prisoners of war. The Germans object to their officers being housed in the hinterlands of Ontario.
