Original Toronto Star caption: The last surviving member of the original Group of Seven, A. Y. Jackson, died today in a nursing home in Kleinburg at 91. He had a stroke in 1967 but by 1968 was well enough to tap a brush at a playful kitten while he painted a maple tree on the grounds of the McMichael Conservation Collection of Art, Kleinburg.
