Original Toronto Star caption: Trumpeter Harry James last night made a triumphant return to Toronto in the packed Centennial Ballroom of the Inn-on-the-Park. Star staff writer Frank Rasky was there and says it was the same old James who last played in Toronto in 1943 at the Palace Pier. For the 850 fans lucky enough to sequeeze into the ballroom, it was as though James and the big band era of their youth hadn't changed one bit.
