Original Toronto Star caption: Jones test: Frank Jones believes soccer is meant to be played on real, not artificial, turf. With Peter Irvine, assistant commissioner of the Canadian Professional Soccer League (CPSL), he gave his thesis a work-out on Astro Turf at Lamport Stadium (above) and grass at Varsity Stadiun, home of the CPSL's Toronto Nationals. His conclusion? Grass makes for classic soccer.
