Original Toronto Star caption: There are hazards to being a Blue Jay ball girl, Irene Cesil, 17, has learned. She got both eyes blackened and a bump on the head from being hit in the face by a baseball while a duty down at Exhibition Stadium. Here she rests at home and studies a Star picture of the incident, showing game officials clustered around her while spectators watch from the stands. Irene was treated in hospital but was back at work a few days later, her enthusiasm for baseball quite undimmed.
