Original Toronto Star caption: Bicyclists raise $235,000 for Variety Village children. More than 4,000 cyclists on nine courses raised $235,000 in yesterday's 18th annual Variety Club of Ontario Bike-a-thon. The proceeds - $35,000 more than last year - will go to the Variety Village Aquatics Wing to provide aquatic therapy, training and recreation for disabled children. Paul Potvin, top, carries his bike because of a slipped chain. ROb Hotarth rides his unicycle, while Derek Frigault and Joanne Agnew consult the course map before proceeding on their fundraising way.
