Original Toronto Star caption: A great cure for a new year's hangover is to jump into ice-cold Lake Ontario, if you're dressed for a subzero plunge, say these members of Olympic Diving Club of Ontario as they float off Scarborough's Bluffers Park at foot of Brimley Rd. From left, are: Brian Beatson, Dave Salesse, Romeo Brennan, Ralf Bauch, Dave Azzarello and Paul Doucette. Sure sobers you up, Beatson said. We're interested in ice-diving, but we've never done New Year's dive before. It's great way to start the new year. By his calculations, the water temperature was -3C, about 2 degrees colder than the air temperature. Brennan said the water was lumpy. And you can't see a thing. But the water feels real good.
