Original Toronto Star caption: Long day for world champions. Kjell Oscarius' rink, world curling champions from Sweden, won two of three games yesterday in Royal Canadian Curling Club's annual Carspiel and is still alive in double-knockout competition which ends Saturday night. With Oscarius (left), are Bengt Oscarius (middle) and Boe Carlman. Other member of rink is Tom Schaeffer. The Swedish rink arrived on Tuesday night and its third game yestrerday ended at almost 5 a.m. this morning. That was a one-sided loss to Terry Begin of Ottawa. Before last night's matches, Maple Leafs' Swedish imports, Inge Hammarstrom and Borje Salming, paid a visit to their countrymen.
