Original Toronto Star caption: Goalie's Gamble: Leaf goalie Mike Palmateer grabs puck after coming out from net and challenging Bobby Clarke in Saturday night's game against Philadelphia Flyers. Leafs battled back from a 5-2 deficit to tie the game 5-5 in the third period, but defensive errors by Claire Alexander and Jim McKenny allowed the Flyers to win the game 7-5. Leaf coach Red Kelly later fumed over the defensive play.
