Scotty Dunbar, a guard at Canadian Tire's Brampton warehouse, says the company's profit-sharing plan has given him incomparable security for his old age. Dunbar, 49, has used his equity in Canadian Tire shares to pay off his mortgage and start a business that later failed. He still has more than $120,000 left. He hopes to retire in few years.

A Sarnia pediatrician convicted of sexually assaulting nurses and patients' mothers over a 16-year period has been ordered not to practise medicine for six months. And Dr. Kunwar Singh, 49, will lose his licence for a minimum 18 months if he's convicted of a similar charge within the next four years, a disciplinary hearing of the College of Physicians and Surgeons has ruled. Business booming: Allan Cohen of Grant's Jewellers on Church St. with some of the items that he has bought recently. One man brought in an exquisite emerald he'd paid $34,000 (U.S.) for 2 1/2 years ago. Cohen bought it - for a third of that. I'm looking for a 10 to 15 per cent profit on the stone, Cohen says.

Coltman says he has received no settlement yet for his expropriated property on Balfour Ave. and believes under this condition he can claim new rights under recent provincial expropriation legislation. His home was one of nine expropriated for new seperate school.
