Original Toronto Star caption: The Ontario Progressive Conservative leadership convention, to be held in late November or early December, must be a wide-open contest in which all issues are up for debate, party president David McFadden says. The last time we had a leadership campaign (Jan. 26), we were in government and all the candidates were ministers who were privy to cabinet discussions (which must be kept confidential), McFadden told The Star in an interview yesterday. But now we are in opposition and we can go at this things openly and look to the future. This will be different because it will be more aimed at the future and not defending past positions.
