Original Toronto Star caption: Stan Mikita's mother, Mrs. Ameliana Gvothova, left, and sister, Viera, 17, saw NHL's super-centre play for first time Saturday night in Gardens. They were visiting Mikita when Warsaw Pact nations invaded their homeland, Czechoslovakia. They have decided to stay in Canada, at least for a year. Viera has enrolled at high school in St. Catharines. Stan attended school there.
