Original Toronto Star caption: Nazis forbid performance of german concerto. When Yehudi Menuhin, 20-year-old former boy prodigy violinist, who is Jewish, was booked to play the solo part of the German composer Schumann's famour Lost Concerto in St. Louis on Nov.12, the Nazi government announced that the world premiere of the work must take place in Germany on Nov. 13. Menuhin is reported feeling outraged, but it is believed he will submit to the decree. He is seen with his pianist sister, Hephzibah
