NotesThe wren, or, The fairy of the green-house : consisting of song, story, and dialogue : founded upon actual incidents, and put together for the amusement and instruction of three little boys during the confinement of their mother. At foot of t.p.: Price four-pence in gilt paper.--Seven-pence bound in red leather. Bound in Dutch flowery boards. Dated from publisher's address. First and last leaves are pastedowns. Illustrations signed ''Lee'' or ''L'' [John Lee]. In verse. Pagination includes frontispiece. Publisher's advertisements on p. [77]-79. The illustrations have been coloured, probably by the child-owner, Frances Hunt, who inscribed the frontispiece in 1795 and wrote her name on the verso of the t.-p. in green paint.
