Original Toronto Star caption: Superstructure of giant freighter under construction in the shipyard dominates the skyline in downtown Collingwood. The 730-foot Algolake is to be launched next month, but no more ships are planned. Since 1902, this shipbuilding town of 10,000 people has launched 212 freighters, and in recent years the industry has kept 1,000 men working busily at the shipyards.
