Original Toronto Star caption: No soft seat for J. Craig Davidson (left), recently appointed Ontario chairman of the Anti-Inflation Board. He joined national board chairman Jean-Luc Pepin on the floor at a crowded reception in Toronto yesterday. Davidson, a former insurance company executive, who said in 1970 that Canadians should be ready for wage and price controls if voluntary restraints didn't work, hinted strongly that the program soon will be dismantled but gave no timetable.
