Original Toronto Star caption: A former mayor opens a new hotel. First guests at the Four Seasons Sheraton Hotel, which officially opened today across Queen St. from Nathan Phillips Square, are former Toronto mayor Nathan Phillips and Mrs. Phillips. To their left is general manager Lloyd B. Carswell. Workmen were still busy in the hotel's lobby as Mr. and Mrs. Phillips registered. The hotel has a 43-storey tower 530 feet high and largest hotel ballroom in Canada.
