Original Toronto Star caption: Uncle Tom's Cabin not only exists in real life, but you can find it right here in Ontario, where the Rev. Josiah Henson- from whose experiences Harriet Beecher Stowe created in her novel- lived out his life. The cabin and other buildings can be seen near Dresden, where a settlement for escaped slaves was established under his leadership. Among the displays at the museum are Stowe's book and a first edition of his own story.
