The two dolls. A twopenny tract illustrated with woodcuts. Emma and Mary, who lived in India, were each given the equivalent of ten shillings to buy an English doll. Mary elected to give her money to an aged, ragged woman. Here virtue was recompensed with the arrival of a baby doll from her grandmother in England. First published in 1826.
