Original Toronto Star caption: For more than 100 years, the oldest and most historic inn in Toronto had been an almost forgotten landmark. Montgomery's Inn, on corner of Dundas St. and Islington Ave. in Etobicoke, had been a private house for generations until it was bought by a church in 1947. In 1962, its owner tried to sell it to Metro Toronto and Region Conservation authority for $1. It will be open this summer to public.
