Original Toronto Star caption: The first swimmer to conquer Lake Ontario this year, 17-year-old Debbie Roach of Mississauga, gets a hug from her grandmother Edith Roach as her father and coach, Ted Roach (left) looks on. Debbie completed her swim at 6.41 p.m. Saturday, after 18 hours and 41 minutes in the water: she's already back in training-hping for a berth on Canada's national swim team in the 1980 Olympics. To keep her amateur status, she won't accept gifts for swim.
