Original Toronto Star caption: "My Heart Bleeds," says David Beatty for the people who can't afford to buy a house, but you have to take into account "the appearance of the thing." He and Nora McClymont opposed Ontario Housing Corporation plans to build $19,000 to $22,000 houses on mini-lots on a 10-acre plot of land next to their subdivisions in Etobicoke.

Image published in Toronto Star, 10 June 1974, page B3, with article by Judith Timson, "Opponents say new houses will be too small".

Opponents to the plan, the article stated," signed a petition asking the borough council to rezone their land so that only single family homes on normal size lots could be built in the Avening Dr.-Silverstone Dr. area near Finch Ave. W."
