Original Toronto Star caption: Unknown comeback: Only a month ago, Yvonne Saunders, Canada's primary women's middle distance prospect for Olympic track, had given up hope of competing in Montreal this summer. In fact, she had all but given up hope of competing again - period. An area in her left knee had become infected and she could not walk without crutches. However a period of treatment at Toronto Rehabilitation Centre got her back on track and now she's training in California.
